Florence Long
Florence M. Long, 88, of Villa Hills, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, with her family by her side. She retired after 25 years as a Cafeteria Manager with the Kenton County School system and then spent 20 years as the office manager and costume seamstress at Concrete Goodies, her family business. She loved the Amish country and enjoyed traveling, especially taking cruises, and going camping. Most importantly, Florence loved her children and grandchildren. She was always there for her family.
She will be greatly missed by her sons, Will (Janet) Riley of Lambertville, MI, Jim (Kim) Riley of Cincinnati, Harry (Jennifer) Long of Ft. Mitchell; daughters, Allie (Dan) Taylor of Villa Hills, Debbie (Mark) Moore of Ft. Wright; 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Florence was preceded in death by her son, Michael (Becky) Riley; daughter, Linda (Van) Kowolonek; brothers, Edward and Roger Adams; sisters, Cora Martin and Barbara Brewer; and grandson, Jacob Riley.
Visitation is on Friday, June 30, 2023, from 10:00 AM until the hour of Service at 12:00 PM.
Interment in Peeno Family Cemetery, Hebron.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Kenton County Animal Shelter, 1020 Mary Laidley Drive, Ft. Mitchell, KY 41017.
