Betty Jean Arns (née Campbell), 87, of Florence, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at Village Care Center in Erlanger. Betty’s 87 years were filled with unwavering devotion to her family, steadfast dedication to her community, and countless small acts of love that left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Betty’s warm spirit radiated most clearly into the home she built and tended with such care. She devoted much of her life as a homemaker, providing a foundation of support, warmth, and love that her family cherished above all else. For a time, Betty also worked as a clerk with K-Mart, where her kindness and meticulous nature touched the lives of colleagues and customers alike.

Anyone who visited Betty knew of her passion for her yard. Until the age of 85, she could be found tending to her yard with a loving, meticulous hand; her lawn was regarded with admiration by neighbors, who often commented on its immaculate beauty. Even as time made it harder for Betty to spend hours outside, her heart remained among her flowers and hedges, and she never lost her deep connection to the green spaces she made her own. Inside, Betty found joy in crafting, channeling her creativity into handiwork that adorned her home and delighted her loved ones.

Nothing, however, compared to the pride and profound love Betty felt for her family. Her son, Richard Arns, her grandchildren, Christopher Alan (Brittany) Cress and Katie Sue Cress, and her great-grandchildren, Jameson and Kamryn Cress, were truly the lights of her life. Betty also leaves behind her nieces and nephews, Rob, Charles, Carolyn, Mark, Susan, Linda, Elaine, Kathy, Thomas, Marla, Darla, Susan, Johnny, Billy, Mike, Steve, and George.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Arns, daughter, Karen Cress Arns, sister, Dorothy Robinson, brothers, Morgan, Alan, and Harold Campbell and nephews, Rob and Raymond and niece, Jancie.

Every accomplishment, celebration, and quiet moment spent with her family brought her joy beyond measure. Family gatherings and simple visits were times Betty treasured, her gentle laughter and selfless care shining all the brighter in their company.

Betty’s legacy is seen in blooming gardens, in hand-crafted treasures, and above all in the kindness and devotion she gave to her family across generations. Her nurturing spirit will remain forever engraved in the hearts of her loved ones and all who were fortunate enough to know her.

A life so well lived is a life never forgotten. While Betty’s absence is deeply felt, those whose lives she touched will continue to celebrate her memory, cherishing the lessons she taught, the beauty she created, and the love she gave so freely.
