Ruth Ann Stallman (née Niehaus), 80, of Crestview Hills, formerly of Washington, IN, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY. She was born on October 18, 1945, in St. Meinrad, Indiana, to Amil and Agnes Niehaus. Ruth faced life’s many challenges with courage and grace, spending her final moments surrounded by her loving family after enduring numerous illnesses with remarkable strength.
Ruth’s greatest legacy is the family she cherished and nurtured. She is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Jack Stallman; her children, Brian (Valerie) Stallman, Kevin (Brenda) Stallman, and Brandi Stallman; her grandchildren, Ethan, Audra, Sydney, and Evan Stallman, as well as Elizabeth and A.J. Durnil; and her great-grandchild Olivia; brothers, Jim, Lee, Dave (Carol Jean), and John (Pam) Niehaus; her sisters, Rita (Dennis) Lovell, Cindy (Eugene) Verkamp, and Brenda Dawson. Ruth’s circle of family extended beyond, enriching her life with love and shared memories.
She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her brothers Tom and Frank Niehaus, her sister-in-law Joyce, and her brother-in-law Jon Dawson.
She will be remembered for her generous spirit, unwavering faith, and deep love for her family. For 20 years, she dedicated countless hours volunteering with St. Vincent de Paul, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. A devoted member of Our Lady of Hope Church for over 50 years, where she remained active in her faith until moving to Northern Kentucky, where she became a member of St. Pius X Church. She cherished Christmas celebrations surrounded by her family, and some of her greatest joys came from watching her children and grandchildren play sports and cheering them on from the sidelines. She was an avid reader who loved traveling, spending winters in Florida, and watching game shows. Her kindness, faith, and love for family created a legacy that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 10:00 AM to the hour of Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 PM at St. Pius X Church, 348 Dudley Rd, Edgewood, KY. 41017.
Interment at Mother of God Cemetery, Ft. Wright, KY, 41011.

Ruth’s memory will live on through the love she shared and the lives she touched. She will be dearly missed, treasured always, and remembered with deep affection by all who had the privilege to know her.
