Nancy Marie Lamphier (née Boettcher), 79, of Florence, passed away on August 6, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. In her 79 years, Nancy touched countless lives with her warmth, gentle spirit, and unwavering devotion to those she held dear.
In her professional life, Nancy was dedicated to serving others, working as a housekeeper at the Hilton Hotel in Florence and later at the Florence Park Care Center. Whether in the workplace or at home, Nancy approached each task with diligence and pride, always striving to make those around her feel comfortable and cared for.
Beyond her career, Nancy’s home was often filled with the laughter of children and the aroma of something wonderful from the kitchen. She found great joy in helping with 4H, where she taught cooking classes, passing along not just recipes but also the value of patience and creativity. Her green thumb was evident in the vibrant beauty of her garden, especially her beloved flowers, which she tended to with as much nurturing as she did her family.
But above all else, Nancy most cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was never happier than when surrounded by their youthful energy and bright smiles, savoring moments that became cherished memories for all who knew and loved her.
Nancy’s life was one woven with love, hard work, and an unyielding dedication to her family.
She was a cherished wife to her loving husband of 24 years, Tim Lamphier of Florence; children, Jessie (John) Purnell of Bromley, Miller Douglas, Jr. of Elsmere, and Brianna Lamphier of Boulder, CO; brother, John Boettcher of Dayton; and 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Nancy is preceded in death by her late brothers, Joseph Sayers and Albert Boettcher; her sister JoAnna Hague; and her loving parents, William and Mary Boettcher.
Visitation will be on Thursday, August 13, 2026, from 10:00 AM until the hour of Service at 12:00 PM, all at Central Church of the Nazarene, 2006 Pieck Dr, Fort Wright, KY 41011.

Nancy’s legacy lives on in the lessons she taught, the kindness she showed, and the love she so freely gave. Her gentle strength, warm laughter, and ever-present encouragement will be deeply missed but forever remembered by those fortunate enough to have shared in her remarkable journey.
Her family and all who were blessed by her presence mourn her loss, even as they give thanks for the generous spirit and genuine kindness that was Nancy Marie Lamphier. May she rest peacefully, her memory a guiding light for generations to come.
