Thomas Norden, 58, of Burlington, passed away on October 11, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Florence. He was born on September 28, 1968, in Norwood, Massachusetts, and lived in Walpole until 1991, when he moved to Kentucky. Tom lived with steady strength and quiet character, leaving a lasting impression on those who knew him.
Tom worked as a network engineer at National Government Services, where he brought dedication and care to his profession. He was a proper gentleman who worked hard and carried an extraordinary work ethic throughout his life. Those qualities shaped both his work and the way he moved through the world, earning the respect of family, friends, and colleagues alike.
Outside of his career, Tom found joy in music and the outdoors. He was a musician who loved Neil Young. He also enjoyed camping, swimming, and hiking, and treasured the peace and renewal he found in time spent outside. These interests reflected a life that balanced hard work with creativity, adventure, and an appreciation for simple, meaningful moments.
Tom will be deeply missed by his mother, Daily Norden; his loving wife, Jackie Norden; his son, Benjamin Norden; his brothers, Ralph Norden and Ken Norden; his grandson, Zaiden; and his in-laws, Stan and Lorie Flerlage. He also leaves behind many cherished memories in the hearts of those who loved him and shared in his life.
He was preceded in death by his father, Valle Norden.
Tom will be remembered for his kindness, dignity, devotion to his work, and the genuine care he showed the people around him. May his memory bring comfort to his family and all who knew him.
There will be a celebration of life on December 5th 1:00-5:00 in Union Ky at a private residence. All are welcome, send email to: jackienorden980@gmail.com for details and directions.
