Dale Robert Williamson

Dale Williamson, 78, of Covington, passed away on July 24, 2026, at his residence. Born on July 18, 1948, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Dale’s life was marked by steadfast dedication to his family and his chosen trade.

Throughout his long career, Dale was a master carpenter & head of maintenance at the renowned Don Cesar Beach Resort and Spa on St. Pete Beach, where he devoted over twenty years of exemplary service. His skill, attention to detail, and unwavering work ethic left lasting impressions both professionally and among all who were fortunate to work alongside him. Dale’s craftsmanship wasn’t merely a vocation but a testament to his spirit, perseverance, and pride in a job well done. He was given the nickname “Tinker” because he was constantly tinkering with anything he saw that needed fixing, even outside of work hours. Cars, electronics, appliances, furniture….. it was all fair game for his skills.

Dale’s greatest source of joy was his beloved family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Bonnie Lou Williamson, with whom he shared 61 cherished years. Dale’s legacy endures through his children: daughters, Brenda Nutter (Stephen) of Barboursville, West Virginia and Susan Kincer (Steve) of Covington; and his sons, Dan Williamson of Hamilton, Ohio and Don Williamson (Jen) of Troy, Missouri. He was also blessed with 17 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. He was “Uncle Dale” to so many nieces and nephews he lost count, but he loved & was loved by them all. He was deeply proud of his family, always offering guidance and humor, celebrating their achievements and milestones.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Beverly Williamson and Ruth Alene Williamson Nee: Newkirk; sisters, Erma Lee Shank and Wanda Faye Hendricks. Their close bonds and shared histories remained a treasured part of Dale's life.

Family and friends are invited to honor Dale’s memory at the Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, 316 Elm St, Ludlow, KY 41016. Visitation will take place on Friday, July 31, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM.

Dale Williamson’s presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love, dedication, and craftsmanship will remain in the hearts of his family and all those whose lives he touched.
