Thomas James Volpenhein, affectionately known as Tommy, passed away on September 28, 2025. He was born on October 31, 1958, in Covington, KY. As a dedicated professional, Tommy held the esteemed position of President at Computer Products Corporation.
Tommy was not only a successful businessman but also a vibrant and lively individual who brought joy to those around him. He was always the life of the party, known for his captivating storytelling, infectious laughter, clever jokes, and joyous singing and dancing. An avid concert-goer, Tommy thrived in the presence of music and celebration, bringing happiness to all those privileged enough to know him. He also loved playing tennis and golf with his daughters and friends, where laughter and connection were always part of the game. His love for travel, adventure, and the outdoors was a defining part of his life, reflecting his boundless energy and passion for experiencing the world. Tommy took great pride in taking care of others and giving back to people in need, showcasing an unwavering commitment to support those around him.
His personal life was deeply enriched by the love he had for his family. Spending time with his daughters, Rachelle (Jeff) Schmitz of Edgewood, Julia (Tyler) Holocher of Hyde Park, and Nicole Volpenhein, as well as his grandchildren, Sammi, Weston, Ben, Luka, Celeste and Charley; brought him immense joy. He is also survived by his brother, Jim Volpenhein; and his sisters, Carla (Ken) Brose of Union and Gina (Greg) Martini of Sea Island, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Charlotte Volpenhein.
The family invites friends and loved ones to pay their respects during a visitation on Monday, October 6, 2025, from 10:00 AM to the hour of Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 PM at St. Pius X Church, 348 Dudley Road, Edgewood, KY 41017.
Interment is in St. Mary's Cemetery, Fort Mitchell, KY.
