Stephen R Kuhnell

Stephen R Kuhnell, 64, of Perry Park, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, a remarkable individual whose spirit radiated joy and warmth. Born on June 29, 1961, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Stephen lived a life rich with love, laughter, and dedication.

A proud graduate of Covington Catholic High School in 1979, Stephen embarked on a career that spanned 15 years with Delta Airlines. His commitment to his work was matched only by his passion for life and the deep affection he held for his family.

Stephen was a self-proclaimed beer connoisseur, reveling in the vibrant atmospheres of Beerfest and Octoberfest. His cheers echoed with the warmth of friendship and good cheer, a testament to his zest for life. An avid sports fan, he passionately supported UK football and basketball, always standing by the Cincinnati Bengals with a passion that brought his family together on game days.

Much of Stephen's joy stemmed from the simple pleasures of life. He was equally at home camping under the stars, tending to his yard, or undertaking projects around the house. But above all, he cherished every moment spent with his beloved wife, Kelly Kuhnell, with whom he shared 40 wonderful years of marriage. Their bond was a shining example of love and support, a partnership that formed the foundation of a beautiful family.

In addition to Kelly, Stephen is survived by their loving children, Evan Kuhnell of Cincinnati and Abby Kuhnell of Erlanger. He also leaves behind his sisters, Georgette (Pat) Seitz of Dry Ridge and Jeanette (Joe) Roland of North Carolina.

Stephen was preceded in death by his late brother, Earl John Kuhnell, and parents, Earl and Annette Kuhnell, whose memory is cherished alongside his own. The bond of family was paramount to Stephen; even in his absence, the love for his family remains unbreakable.

Visitation will be on Monday, August 4, 2025, from 9:00AM until the hour of Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00PM all in St. Timothy Church, 10272 US-42, Union, Kentucky 41091.
