Royce Wayne Johnson "Skip" departed this life on January 4th, 2023 after a brief illness. Our Skip was larger than life and never met a stranger. He had enthusiasm and an insatiable curiosity about life and people. He was a born entrepreneur who established several successful small businesses very early in his career. He was many things throughout his life including a star youth athlete, business owner, veteran, scratch golfer, avid home builder and diehard UK basketball fan.
He is survived and forever loved and remembered by: his wife, Teresa Cox-Johnson, Sisters, Scarlett Stander, Katherine Sadler and Lisa Beutel and Brother, Mark Johnson, Daughters, Elonna Thompson, Meagen Sauvageau, Alexa Johnson, Hannah O’Hara, stepdaughter, Helena Roden, stepson, Tom Burke, nieces and nephews, Bill Stander, Kyle Sadler, Daniel Stander, Lee Anne Padgett, Elizabeth Beutel and Olivia Beutel, grandchildren, Sydney Record, Quentin Sauvageau and Seth Thompson, his dear Aunt Nova Jean Plummer, as well as his beloved cousins in Jamestown, KY and many old and new friends.
He is predeceased by his loving parents, Glenn and Viola “Cissey” (Bromagen) Johnson.
Services Friday, February 3, 2023 at 11am at Ludlow Baptist Church, 12pm interment at Highland Cemetery with Honor Guard, and 1pm gathering with light refreshments at Ludlow Baptist Church.
