Roslyn "Roz" Modzelewski (née Ricchio), born on September 7, 1945, in Blue Island, Illinois, passed away on October 5, 2025, in Covington, Kentucky. She was 80 years old.

Roslyn was the beloved daughter of Lawrence and Mary Ricchio and the devoted wife of Paul Modzelewski, all of whom preceded her in death. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters Monica Minogue (Marty), Melanie Beccaccio (Pete), and Melissa Adams (Brian). Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Catherine, Paul, Alexander, Martin Leo, Sam, Olivia, and Sophie. She is also survived by her sister Roberta Jaworowski.

Throughout her life, Roslyn embodied strength, intelligence, and independence. These qualities were not only evident in how she lived but were also values she instilled in her daughters. Her strong political convictions shaped her worldview and inspired those around her to engage thoughtfully with the world.

Roslyn shared a deep bond with her husband Paul, with whom she traveled extensively. Their journeys through the U.S., Europe and Australia enriched their lives and broadened their perspectives. Her love for travel extended beyond personal adventures—she took great joy in organizing trips for work and planning adventures with her grandchildren.

A woman of many passions, Roslyn found joy in singing with the chorus and had a deep appreciation for classical music. Holidays were especially meaningful to her; she delighted in cooking special meals for her family and writing unique poems for her Christmas cards. She had a great love for her hometown Chicago and was always proud to show visitors the culture and beauty the city had to offer.

Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those who loved her.
