Patricia Ann Woody

Patricia Ann Woody, 80, of Ludlow, a beloved mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2025, at Rosedale Green. Born on September 10, 1944, in Covington, Kentucky, Patricia was the daughter of James and Marcella Cavanaugh. She carried with her a legacy of kindness and warmth throughout her life, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Patricia devoted many years to her career at Bluegrass Quality Meats, where she worked in the packaging department. Her work ethic was exemplary, reflecting her commitment and dedication. In addition to her work life, Patricia enjoyed being an active member of the Ladys Hobo Club and the Ladys Auxiliary Eagles, where she built cherished relationships and contributed to her community.

As a mother, Patricia was deeply loving and nurturing. She is survived by her children,  Regina Woody, Marcella Deaton and Arnold Woody, each of whom carries forward her spirit and values. In her role as a grandmother, she adored her grandchildren, Ashley Deaton and Mickey Deaton Jr., finding joy in their accomplishments and the moments they shared together.

Patricia's close-knit family also included her sisters, Pam Jones, Penny Morsch, Peggy Wilcox, and Jill Zink, as well as her brothers, Jack Cavanaugh and Jerry Cavanaugh. Together, they formed a supportive network that exemplified her caring nature and strong familial bonds.

Patricia is preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Woody, whose memory she cherished throughout her life. She joins her parents, James and Marcella Cavanaugh, and 2 brothers Jim and Joe Cavanaugh in eternal rest.

Her warmth, kindness, and joyful spirit will be profoundly missed but fondly remembered by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Patricia Ann Woody leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to resonate in the hearts of those she impacted.
