Marylou Stanger

Marylou Stanger, 73, of Ludlow, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospice.

Marylou dedicated many years of her life working as a paraprofessional with Cincinnati Public Schools, where she touched the lives of countless children. Her passion and nurturing spirit made a significant impact on the lives of students and coworkers alike.

A vibrant soul, Marylou loved to travel, explore new places, and indulge in live music. She had a particular fondness for dancing and found joy in every rhythm. Her true delight, however, came from spending time with her family. Marylou enjoyed hosting gatherings, showcasing her culinary talents and creating memories around the dinner table. Her home was filled with laughter, love, and delicious meals that brought everyone together.

Marylou was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Stanger, who remains in the hearts of those who knew their enduring love. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her family. Also, preceded in death by her parents, the late Anthony and Lucille (Conte) Forlenza, who instilled in her the values of kindness and hard work.

Her memories will be cherished by her loving daughter, Angelina Lopez of Ludlow, and her granddaughter, Catalina Lopez of Ludlow, who brought her immense joy. Her siblings, Joanne (Forlenza) Ciminelli of Frisco, TX, and Anthony Forlenza of Oceanside, CA, as well as her stepson Joseph Stanger of Gilbert, AZ, and his daughter, Callie Stanger will carry forward her spirit and love.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Marylou's remarkable life during a visitation on Sunday, August 31, 2025, from 12:00PM until 2:00PM at Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, 316 Elm Street, Ludlow, KY 41016.

Her vibrant spirit continues to live on in the hearts of those she loved and who loved her back. When told “I love you”, she always responded with “I love you more”. She will be missed profoundly, but her influence will forever shine brightly in the lives of all she touched.
