Linda Michelle Petroze

Linda Michelle Petroze, 70, of Florence, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Rosedale Green in Covington, surrounded by her loving family after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's. Linda's life was marked by warmth, resilience, and a deep commitment to her family, which she considered her proudest accomplishment.

Linda retired as a receptionist for the St. Elizabeth Edgewood Heart and Vascular Institute. She demonstrated a strong work ethic throughout her career, balancing professional responsibilities with her love for family and community. An alumna of Beechwood High School, she distinguished herself as a talented athlete, finishing second in the KHSAA State Meet for diving during her senior year. Her passion for sports continued well into adulthood as she enjoyed competing in softball and volleyball.

A lover of the outdoors, Linda cherished moments spent boating on Norris Lake and the Ohio River, activities that brought her immense joy and allowed her to create lasting memories with loved ones. Her adventurous spirit and enthusiasm for life were felt by all who knew her.

Linda is survived by her devoted husband of 51 years, Marty "Mo" Petroze; her son, Joe (DeAnna) Petroze; her daughters, Michelle Petroze, Amy (Steve) Steinbrunner, and Andrea (Jeremy) Bey; her brothers, Ken Ransdell and Dennis (Rhonda) Ransdell; her sisters, Karen (Bill) Beyers, Nancy Ransdell, and Kelly Long. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren—Jasmine, Cameron, Elle, Tate, Braxton, Kinsely, Marie, and Paisley—and three great-grandchildren, Karson, Malikai, and Willow, who will deeply miss her loving presence in their lives.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey Lee Ransdell and Winnie Ransdell, who both played essential roles in shaping her life and values. Throughout her long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's, Linda’s spirit remained strong, and she found solace in the love of her family, who surrounded her during her final days.

A Celebration of Linda's Life will take place on Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Little Britain Carriage House, 5307 Idlewild Rd, Burlington, KY 41005.   A brief Memorial Service will start at 4:00 PM.

Linda Michelle Petroze will be remembered not only for her accomplishments and passions but also for the love and joy she brought into the lives of those fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who will carry forward the lessons of love, perseverance, and the importance of family that she so cherished.
