John "Doc" W. Fleissner II, a cherished member of the Ludlow, KY community, passed away on September 10, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence. Born on March 21, 1944, in Covington, KY, John lived a fulfilling life defined by his dedication to service and his spirited personality.

A proud graduate of Ludlow High School in 1962,  He delivered auto parts for Don’s Crankshafts for a while, worked for Comair and went on to serve as a bus driver and custodian for the Kenton County Board of Education. His commitment to supporting the education of young people was evident in every interaction he had. Known for his friendly demeanor, John was a man who never met a stranger and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

In addition to his career, John's community involvement extended beyond the workplace. He volunteered at the Ludlow Senior Center, where his warmth and kindness undoubtedly made a positive impact on the lives of many. A devoted member of Bromley Christian Church, he found joy and fellowship within his faith community.

An avid enthusiast of NASCAR, John spent his leisure time engaging in the thrill of racing. In his younger years, he reveled in the excitement of go-carts, stock cars, hydroplanes, and motorcycles, earning a reputation as a passionate Harley rider.

He is survived by his beloved sisters, Judy Spears, Rebecca Underhill, and Mary Stickrod, who will remember him not only for his lifelong residence in Ludlow but also for the countless memories they shared together.

John was preceded in death by his father, John Fleissner, and his mother, Bessie Fleissner Nee: Wren. Their legacies live on through the love and kindness he imparted to everyone he met.

The spirit of John "Doc" W. Fleissner II will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him. His life stands as a testament to the difference one individual can make in their community through compassion, generosity, and a zest for life.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 4:00PM to 5:00PM followed by a Memorial Service at 5:00PM all in Bromley Christian Church, 216 Kenton Street, Bromley, Kentucky 41016.

In lieu of flowers, memorial are suggested to Bromley Christian Church, 216 Kenton Street, Bromley, KY 41016.
