Jacqueline A. Blau Fugate Nee: Mayer, born on February 20, 1938, in Covington, KY, passed away on November 10, 2025, at Madonna Manor. A beloved figure in her community, Jacqueline's warmth and kindness left an indelible mark on those who knew her.
Jacqueline devoted a significant portion of her life to her career as a cashier at the Kroger Company, where her engaging personality and heartfelt interactions made her a cherished member of the team. She was known for her unwavering commitment to providing excellent service and her ability to light up the day of every customer she encountered.
Outside of her professional life, Jacqueline had numerous hobbies that showcased her creative spirit. She loved sewing and spent many joyful hours making beautiful quilts, sharing her creations with family and friends. Her passion for crafting and her talent for bringing color and comfort through her quilts reflected her generous heart and nurturing nature.
If there was a Hallmark movie on, Jacqueline had to watch it, often relishing the heartwarming stories and happy endings that resonated so deeply with her outlook on life.
She is survived by her daughters, Michelle "Shay" (Tom) Lemker and Debora Smith; and her sons, Michael (Robbin) Blau, Jeff (Kim) Blau, Steve (Cristie) Blau, and Paul Blau; 21 grandchildren and 45 great- grandchildren. Through their lives and the love, they shared, Jacqueline leaves behind a lasting legacy that will be cherished for generations to come.
Jaqueline is preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Alberta Mayer and her husbands, James Blau (1979) and Ralph "Bud" Fugate (2005).
A visitation in honor of Jacqueline will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 9:30 AM until the hour of Catholic Blessing at 10:30 AM at Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home located at 316 Elm St, Ludlow, KY 41016. Entombment in Highland Cemetery in Fort Mitchell, KY.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Ludlow Community Center, 51 Elm Street, Ludlow, KY 41016.
Jacqueline will be remembered not only for her gentle spirit and dedicated service but also for the love and happiness she brought into the lives of her family and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
