Gerry Ann Johnson

Gerry Ann Johnson, 81, of Ludlow, peacefully passed away on Monday, August 18, 2025, at her residence. Born on December 11, 1943, in Harlan County, Kentucky, Gerry's life was a testament to love, laughter, and hospitality. Gerry was known for her bright smile, great sense of humor, and dedication to her husband of 64 years, John. She adored hosting gatherings in her home, filling it with laughter and a sense of belonging that made everyone feel welcome. Whether it was the holiday season or a simple weekend get-together, Gerry had a talent for creating memories that her family would carry in their hearts forever. Her passion for cooking and her sharp wit were evident at every event, where her culinary delights and knack for storytelling were often the highlight, reflecting her love for those around her.

She dedicated herself to her career at the IRS before embracing retirement, a transition that allowed her to fully devote her time to what she loved most: her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carlo and Vina (Blanton) Brock of Wallins Creek, sister Jacqueline Unthank, and brothers, Sherman and Deerl "Junior" Brock.

Survivors include her loving husband, John Johnson of Ludlow; daughter, Karla (LC) Taylor of Ft. Mitchell; son, Alton Johnson of Hebron; grandchildren, Landon, Matthew, and Brock Taylor, and Kryton Johnson and great-grandchildren, Bryce, Graham, and Brooklyn Taylor.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 21, 2025, from 11:00 AM to the hour of Service at 1:00 PM all in Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, 316 Elm St, Ludlow, KY 41016.

Interment in Highland Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky.
