Carol Voelker, 85, of Burlington, lovingly known for her warmth and nurturing spirit, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2025, at her residence, surrounded by her family. Born on July 22, 1940, in Danville, Kentucky, Carol was a beacon of love and kindness throughout her life.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Martha Robinson, her brother Jack Robinson and her sister Bea McDowell.
Carol attended the Erlanger Church of Christ, where she found joy and connection in her faith community. As a loving mother, she dedicated her life to raising her children: David (Eileen) Voelker of Fort Mitchell, Daniel (Tara) Voelker of Evergreen, Colorado, Steven (Emily Sander) Voelker of Burlington, her daughter Tammy (Sean) Riffle of Burlington, 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, who all carry forward her legacy. She shared a deep bond with her husband, Dale Voelker, and her love for her family extended to her sister, Nancy Henry and numerous nieces and nephews. The love she instilled in her family will undoubtedly continue to flourish in their lives.
An avid cook, Carol spent much of her time in the kitchen, crafting meals that brought her loved ones together. Her culinary talents were revered, as was her ability to create a welcoming environment filled with laughter and love. The joyful memories shared around her dining table will forever remain a treasured part of her family's history.
A visitation to honor Carol will take place on Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 10:00 AM until the hour of service at 12:00 PM, all in Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, 316 Elm Street, Ludlow, Kentucky 41016. Carol will then be laid to rest at Highland Cemetery in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky.
Carol Voelker will be deeply missed by her family and friends, who will remember her not only for her nurturing spirit but for the bright love she brought into their lives. Her legacy will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her.
After the burial, everyone is welcome to stop by Erlanger Church of Christ, 458 Graves Ave, Erlanger, Ky 41018 for a reception.
A lunch celebration of life will take place at Bromley Christian Church, 216 Kenton St., Bromley, Kentucky, 41016 on Saturday, Dec. 20, from 12:00PM-2:00PM. Everyone is welcome to attend that.
Memorial donations can be made to Erlanger Church of Christ or to All Abilities Sports Northern Ky (allabilitiesnky.com), founded by Carol's granddaughter, Samantha Payne.
