Bernard "Bernie" Meese, Jr.

Bernard Meese, 86, of Crestview Hills, passed away on Monday, July 3, 2023, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood. He worked in the Athletic Department at the University of Cincinnati for 40 years.

Bernie was an avid sports fan, especially the Cincinnati Bearcats. He was member of Florence Baptist Church for 70 years. He proudly served our country in the United States Air Force Reserves. Bernie was the President and member of the Covington- Kenton Lions Club for 50 years, past President of CABMA, a board member of TEAM Foundation for Holmes High School Athletics and a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He was a Kentucky Colonel, and enjoyed monthly lunches with the Beecher Bunch, the Pikes, and the Holmes Bulldogs Alumni.

Bernie is preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Carrie Meese.

He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 60 years, Beverly Meese of Crestview Hills; son, Rick (Angie) Meese of Crescent Springs; daughter, Sharon Meese of Ft. Mitchell; grandchildren, Lauren, and Jacob Meese; sisters-in-laws, Diane Gearding and Mary McHale.

Visitation is on Monday, July 10, 2023, from 10:00 AM until the hour of Service at 12:00 PM, all in Florence Baptist Church, 642 Mt. Zion Road, Florence, KY 41042.

Family and friends are invited to a celebration lunch of Bernie’s life, immediately following the service at The Gardens of Park Hills, 1622 Dixie Hwy, Park Hills, KY 41011.
