Andrew Bensman

Andrew Bensman, 57, of Erlanger, passed away on Monday, June 28, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence.

Andy lived an honorable life. His involvement with his work will never go unnoticed. Andy took every moment of his life and placed it in a special place in his heart. Across the world, Andy made a difference in people’s lives. Whether he was going to work to educate the youth, traveling far and wide to experience once in a lifetime moments or inviting his loved ones over to spread his love for the culinary arts, he left an impression on each and every individual he encountered. Though he was tough, he did everything in the name of love. Andy will continue to spread that love and passion through his spirit. He will continue to travel the world, be with all his loved ones and be free from the evil chain that held onto him for so long. He would not want us to cry, but to keep moving forward and take the opportunities that life gives us and make our own impressions in the world. May his sweet soul be at peace and may he embrace love and happiness as he enters the eternal place of rest.

Andy was part of the LaSalle Brotherhood – Buttimer Institute Studies affiliation.  He won the Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers Award for making a difference in his student’s lives.  He spent over 30 years in dedicated service to Catholic schools.  He was also an Honor Flight representative and advocate.
