William R. Hemmer

William R. Hemmer, Sr., 86, of Ft. Mitchell, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood. He was the founder and former president of Hemmer Industries as well as a Civil Engineer.  Bill served our country in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict where he was a Scientific Professional specializing in building bridges in Korea.  He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church in Ft. Mitchell, Summit Hills Country Club, UC Alumni Association, American Society of Civil Engineers, and Associated General Contractors of America. He was the President and founder of the Monday Night Football Club and was an avid Bengals and Reds Fan.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Patricia Stulz Hemmer of Ft. Mitchell, sons, William (Lynn) Hemmer, Jr. of Crescent Springs, Gregory Hemmer of Lakeside Park, Kevin (Carol) Hemmer of Crestview Hills, Martin (Jennifer) Hemmer of Villa Hills; daughters, Julie (JR) McCubbin of Erlanger, Anna Hemmer of Newport; brother, Robert Hemmer, MD of Ft. Mitchell; sisters, Mary Martha Curtin of Ft. Mitchell, Lois Shannon of Ft. Mitchell; 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Visitation will be on Thursday, May 28, 2015 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, 316 Elm Street, Ludlow, KY 41016.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, May 29, 2015 at 10:00 AM in Blessed Sacrament Church, 2409 Dixie Highway, Ft. Mitchell, KY 41017.

Interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Welcome House, 205 W Pike St, Covington, KY 41011.
