Mary "Peggy" McAllister
Mary Margaret “Peggy” McAllister, 80, of Covington, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, May 19, 2022. She was a retired Office Manager with Metropolitan Life Insurance. Peggy was a longtime member of St. Augustine Church in Covington where she sang in the choir and spent 18 years as the Cafeteria Manager. She loved to volunteer at the church and she loved coloring but most of all she loved her husband, brothers, sisters and especially her son, Adam. Peggy was a member of the Peaselburg Neighbors Association for 25 years where she served as the secretary.
Survivors include her devoted husband of 59 years, Tony McAllister of Covington; son, Adam McAllister of Covington; siblings, Jake (Claudia) Wartman of Ft. Wright, Tim Wartman of Bromley, Lou Wartman of Ft. Wright, Frank (Pat) Wartman of Bromley, Susan Wartman Duncan of Ft. Wright, Chris Wartman of Bromley, Larry Wartman of Bromley, Mary Wartman (Tim Stein) Fangman of Independence, Dianne (Don Mills) Wartman of Bromley and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Kate Wartman and sister, Jenny Wartman.
Visitation is on Thursday, May 26, 2022 from 9:30 AM until the hour of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM all in St. Augustine Church, 1839 Euclid Avenue, Covington, KY 41014.
Interment in St. John’s Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the St. Augustine Roof Project.
