Betty Bickers

Don’t cry for me, for I have no fear.  All my pain is gone, and God took my tears.  Don’t cry for me, I am not alone.  The angels are with me to welcome me home.  Don’t cry for me, I will be okay.  Heaven is my home now and this is where I’ll stay.  Betty Lue Smith Bickers, 92, of Covington, KY, passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Edgewood.  Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Ella Louise and Leslie Smith.  She graduated from Ludlow High School.  On November 19, 1948, she married the love of her life, Jack Bickers, who passed away January 13, 1987. She was also preceded in death by her companion, Lou Huber.  Betty then moved to Panorama Apartments where she worked in the office until retiring in April 1997. Betty loved volunteering for the Ludlow Senior Citizens and Crocheting children’s blankets for hospitals. She also loved playing golf, cards and bingo. She was a previous member of First Presbyterian Church of Ludlow, then Community of Faith Presbyterian Church in Covington and most recently, a member of Lakeside Presbyterian Church. Betty will be sadly missed by her step-grandchildren, Debbie (Ron) Seaver of Aurora, IN, Pam (Rick) Jackson of Connersville, IN, Bonnie Protzman of Annapolis, MD, Mike (Norma) Greive of Aurora IN; longtime friends, Ann (David) Taylor of Lawrenceburg, IN, Delilah (Dennis) Huber of Villa Hills, KY, close friend, Carol, and all those that loved her.
