Gerard E. “Gary” Smith, 84, of Bromley, passed away on Sunday, February 05, 2017 at his residence. He was a retired Line Pipe Welder for Newport Steel. Gary loved working on antique cars, crossword puzzles and especially spending time with his grandchild and great grandchildren. He was the former Mayor and city councilman for the city of Bromley for many years.
Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Kathleen Smith of Bromley; son, Steven (Donita) Smith of Powder Springs, GA; daughters, Gail Smith of Bromley, Kathy Courtney Smith of Crittenden; grandchild, Stephanie (Teddy) McClure and 3 great grandchildren, Sawyer, Ivy and Brooks.
Visitation is on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 from 10:00 AM to the hour of service at 12:00 noon all in Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, 316 Elm Street, Ludlow, KY 41016.
Interment in New Bethel Baptist Cemetery, Verona, KY.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to The Parish Kitchen, 141 West Pike Street, Covington, KY 41011.
