Gwendolyn C. Tibbs, 88, of Park Hills, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Emerald Trace in Elsmere. She was a retired Teacher at Redwood Rehabilitation Center in Ft. Mitchell. Gwen was a member of Lakeside Christian Church, loved teaching, cooking and most of all spending time with grandchildren.
Survivors include her sons, James Tibbs III of Oakland, CA, Lawrence (Dee) Tibbs of Taylor Mill; daughters, Laura (Steve) Milburn of Florence, Janis Tibbs of Ft. Wright and grandchildren, Noah Boyle, Lauren and Liza Tibbs. She was preceded in death by her husband, James O. Tibbs and brothers, Cecil and C.D. Cress.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February, 4, 2017 at 11:00 AM in Lakeside Christian Church, 195 Buttermilk Pike, Lakeside Park, KY 41017. Interment in Highland Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, KY. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Lakeside Christian Church, 195 Buttermilk Pike, Lakeside Park, KY 41017 or Redwood Rehabilitation Center, 71 Orphanage Rd, Fort Mitchell, KY 41017.
