David L. Bowman

David Lee Bowman, 86, of Ft. Wright, passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving in the Korean War on the USS Henrico (APA-45) and the USS Noa (DD-841) as a first class signalman. He was a retired Service Technician of 47 years for Doc Rusk Heating and Air Conditioning. David was a member of St. Joseph Church in Crescent Springs, Ky. He was a member of Covington-Kenton Lions Club where he was a past President and regional Eye Sight Chairman for over 45 years. David was a member of the Crescent Springs Fire Department in the early 1970’s. He was in the Northern Kentucky Coin Club and was an avid card player. He was a member of the Happy Timers Senior Club at St. Joseph Church, Ft. Mitchell Seniors Club, 55 Plus Club at Blessed Sacrament Church and for 13 years he delivered meals for Senior Citizen’s with Meals on Wheels.

Survivors include his loving wife of 30 years, Joan Bauereis Bowman of Ft. Wright; children, Mark (Valerie) Bowman of Florence, Douglas Bowman of Florence, Scott (Tracey) Bowman of Union, Diana (Brian) Knue of Kenton Hills, Doug (Jacquie) Bauereis of Park Hills; brothers, Ray (Mary Ann) Bowman of Ft. Wright, Bobby Bowman of Crescent Springs; sister, Evelyn (Ron) Huser of Perry Park; grandchildren, Nicholas, Brittany, Kyle, Jacob, Emilee, Courtney, Kiera, Brett, Tyler and Scotty; great grandchildren, El, Troy, Bella and Myka.

David was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Bowman (1983).

Visitation is on Monday, October 10, 2016 from 10:30 AM to the hour of Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 noon all in St. Joseph Church, 2470 Loraine Court, Crescent Springs, KY 41017.

Entombment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, KY.

Family and friends are invited to the Blessed Sacrament Church undercroft after the funeral service.
