Joann Sprague, 75, of Newport, passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Baptist Convalescent Center in Newport. She was originally from Boone County where she graduated from Boone County High School. She worked for many years for the William and Dr. Diane McElheney family of Lakeside Park. She retired as Secretary for the University of Kentucky’s Cooperative Extension Service, working in both Kenton and Campbell Counties for almost 20 years.
She leaves behind her beloved aunt, Nelda Sprague Vahlsing of Bromley as well as her best friend and former co-worker, Mrs. Marilyn Lauer. Joann is preceded in death by her three sisters.
Prayers will be said at the grave site on Monday, May 23, 2016 at 4:00PM in Hebron Lutheran Cemetery, 3140 Limaburg Rd, Hebron, KY 41048.
