Edwin Sandfoss

Edwin Andrew Sandfoss, 84, of Erlanger passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at his residence.  He was a retired conductor for C & O Railroad.

Edwin served our country in the U.S. Air Force.

He was a member of St. Bernard Church in Dayton, KY for over 50 years.  He loved fishing with his wife, “Snake” and loved bowling.  Edwin was always there to help anyone that needed him.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Juanita Sandfoss; children, Carol and James Mahan; parents, Henry and Rosemary Sandfoss; brothers, Herald and William Sandfoss and sister, Mildred Schout.

Survivors include his daughter, Sue Baker of Highland Heights, KY; sons, Claude (Patty) Mahan, Edward (Elizabeth) Mahan; sisters, Delores Berning, Viola Pelzer; 13 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 from 10:30 AM to the hour of Catholic Blessing at 12:30 PM all in Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, 316 Elm Street, Ludlow, KY 41016.

Interment in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North, Williamstown, KY.

In addition a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 11:00 AM in St. Bernard Church, 401 Berry Street, Dayton, KY 41074.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Sue Baker Memorial Fund.
