Mr. Jones started working at the funeral home at the tender age of 16. Back then, it was common for the funeral home to run an ambulance service and Ronald did everything from driving the ambulance to washing the cars, and cleaning the funeral home.
Mr. Jones enlisted in the U.S. Navy at age 17 and served in the medical corps. Upon his return from active duty, he received his High School diploma from Ludlow High School, class of 1947 and entered the University of Mortuary Science that Fall.
Mr. Jones wife, Grace (class of 1951), joined him in the family business. Unlike many other funeral homes, Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home is owned and operated by the Jones family. Ronald and Grace take great pride in serving their community. They are members of numerous groups, associations, committees, and organizations; and they have served in many capacities, from members to president/chairman. The Jones family believes in giving back to the community that has been so kind to them.
When it comes to funeral service, you are dealing with the best. The two of them represent over 100 years of experience. The Ronald Jones Family collectively seeks out to exceed your expectations.
Helping a family on what could be the worst day of their life, the death of a love one, is a calling. It takes great compassion and empathy. The Jones family attends to every detail with dignity and respect like no other.
"We can't take the pain away, but we can be sure to offer a funeral that is fitting to the deceased," says Mr. Jones. And our services don't end at the cemetery. We are here for the family to assist in filing for insurance or probate, or just as a shoulder to lean on. Grace adds, "Whether we have served your family for generations or it's the first time you have experienced a death, you become family."
We have been serving families for over 60 years here at Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home.
...The Tradition Continues.
